1. Headline : Keep your headline big,bold and bright to capture your visitor's

attention in a fly.Writing a good headline is an art by itself, it is a vast subject

to be studied in details.But the main objective of your headline in to create a

sense of 'doubt' or 'wonder' or 'fear' to get your visitor motivated to read the rest

of your page.Normally your headline should offer a strange story or an absurd

claim anything to hold your visitor's attention which would push him/her to read

on.

2. Subhead line : I have been testing headlines in various ways, the best

combination I came up with is, a
headline which generates fear or doubt and then comes the subhead line

which gives a "way to the solution" - but not the solution in itself.Note,

subhead line makes the headline effective, it is always wise to back up your

headline with a sub headline, either of them being catchy.

3. Long copy or short copy ?

Having a high converting squeeze page with a short copy needs professional

skills.Like, a short copy needs to be prompt and serious call on action

technique. When someone signs to your mailing list through your short sales

copy it is more important to notice from where the visitor has landed on your

page.Short sales copy works when a visitor has already created a mind set of

getting value from your page, even if the sales copy is not well written it still

works.Imagine Mr. Bill Gates puts up a page stating only one line " Sign up to

discover how I spent my first million, and where I earned it from " , now in that

case most of the visitor is going to sign up irrespective of it being the shortest

sales copy ever written.

Long sales copy always works.Remember, the more you tell - the more you

sell.A long detailed sales copy with your offers presented nicely will not fail in

a hurry.Tell your visitor about your product in detail, explain how easy it is to

use your product, how it can make their life easier.Point out all benefits and

unique things about your product.Give them enough reasons to give you their

name and email address, treat their contact as a sale.After all people have

become very conscious with time and wouldn't be giving their email address to

anyone in a hurry.

4. Images videos : There are various kinds of customers who is influenced

different aspects of your page.Most of them happens to be influenced by

visuals.So make it a point to include at least one video and few images

concerned with your product or offer.Your motive is to make the page look

busy( happening, hint). A video giving demo of your product could dramatically

increase your chances to capture his lead.

5. Page layout : The layout of the page should be very neat without too many

gaps and distractions. Every point in your web page should uplift the brand

value of your product.Creating a very detailed page is not only time consuming

but could be distracted. keep it simple.

6. Always have at least 2 or opt-in boxes. If you sales copy is a long one,

place opt-in boxes two or three times in regular intervals towards the end of

your page.Having multi opt-in boxes increases your chances of capturing

leads enormously.It will just takes a fraction of second to close your website,

so use more than one opt-in boxes placed thoughtfully where you have a call

to act on.

7. Width of the page should be kept as minimum as possible.I will share an

insider secret with you here, having a brilliant heading backed up with a narrow

page format works wonders.When you have a good heading, it already

holds your visitor's attention to read on.When you have a narrow page format it

keeps your visitor glued to what you have to say.So get rid of the extra spaces

along the sides of your sales copy.

factors for a net savvy visitor.Before they give you their email and name they

would always verify if it is in safe hands.Never publish a page without these

essentials. They are minute things but very effective, most of your prospects

are going to verify them before lending their personal information.
