A Great parent begins being involved with their children's lives. Our hectic lives are filled with business, career, and other work related activities. Given this, they could forget to spend enough time with their kids.

Good parents provide their kids enough bonding time. A mother tells her thoughts with regard to her 2 kids. In the midst of her hectic schedule, she managed to prepare breakfast for her kids in the morning, and in the evening after her career, she chooses to have a discussion with them about their school assignments.

There are examples when her children's do their work at the same time, and she can see the expression in their faces to do it at the same time. In that way, she is actively becoming involved herself in her children's lives.

Parents must include themselves in their child's likes. In that way, they can demonstrate to the kids that they are also interested in their likes. In kindergarten, for example, school staff and instructors do have their parent day activity every year.

They have many games and other likes where all the members of the family get to do something and work together. You should also have some story telling activities (not just typical night time stories) especially on weekends when you have no work.

Try to empty yourself of bundled or unnecessary activities that make your life much too pre-occupied of things with respect to your career. Be conscious that making your kids to do other things without you by their side does not help to improve their awareness and responsibility; instead, you are robbing them of the most important thing: your undivided time and attention.

Parents should take the chances of making something for their children to show them their love. For example, a parent could make food for their children for meals like breakfast, lunch or dinner. This could be a rare time when parents and kids get together and parents can initiate in sharing a few stories that happened at some point.

There is no perfect parent, but there can be perfect times that we should tell to our kids. So, get involved in your children's lives, do not wait for the worst events to occur that end up with us lamenting: "It is too late; I should have been there".
