Traxxas is one of the leading RC producers in the United States. Traxxas consist of both electric and nitro powered RC cars. Traxxas manufacture both cars and other vehicles including boats. 100% of all Traxxas are meant for Backyard fun and made to take a beating. They are known for their easy to use cars. They also use a unique nitro methane and methanol type fuel to power its nitro cars. Nitro powered cars include the Jato, the Revo, and the T-maxx.
The Jato, the Traxxas newest model reaches speeds up to 55 miles per hour. Geared with an EZ Start system, an automatic 2-speed gearbox, this rear wheel drive truck is not legal to race with other trucks in sanctioned races because of its automatic 2-speed stock transmission. To be made legal, the Traxxas Jato can replace the 2-speed transmission, wheels, and engine with a suitable replacement sold by Super Traxxas or other local companies.
Another nitro using RC is the T-Maxx. A monster truck model that was so successful to create a new vehicle class in organized racing is capable to reach speeds of 45 miles per hour and then some. If interested about buying a T-max, a great thing to get is a ready to run kit. These Super Traxxas’ monster trucks will usually come fully assembled saving you weeks of putting it together if new to the Traxxas RC world.
Another source of power is the general electric Traxxas’ RC Cars. Although not as fast as nitro powered Traxxas, the Electric powered Traxxas are cheaper and give the same amount of great enjoyment for endless hours. Again ready to run kits will be more suitable for beginners. Electric Super Traxxas are a great choice for beginning drivers to get more experience and will be ready to handle the nitro powered Super Traxxas. Electric Super Traxxas’ RC cars include the E-maxx, Bandit, Spirit, Rustler, and Stampede.
The Super Traxxas’ E-Maxx is the Nitro T-maxx’s electrical brother. At a recent RC racing event a modified E-maxx broke the 70 mile per hour barrier. The E-maxx’s new designed is completely redesigned being sealed and now completely waterproof by the work of Super Traxxas. Because the E-maxx is quieter than nitro, the electric motors are better suited to low-noise areas. The Traxxas E-maxx uses two 7.2 volt batteries.
The Traxxas’ Rustler has extremely good handling at high speeds. The stock Rustler is capable of hitting 35 miles per hour or more. Equipped with lithium polymer batteries the Rustler is capable of exceeding speeds of 70 miles per hours. The Rustler is one of the better electric RC Trucks made by Traxxas.
The Jato, the Traxxas newest model reaches speeds up to 55 miles per hour.
