Residents of Arkansas looking to buy their first home may have trouble securing a mortgage or coming up with the money for a down payment, due to a tightened credit market brought on by the housing collapse a few years ago. Thankfully, there are at least five ongoing programs in the state to help residents meet the financial burdens of purchasing their first home.
